With a strong background in operations and service improvement, Ian has vast experience of running Business Change and Operational Excellence programmes across the UK. He has led change programmes within a number of sectors for more than a decade and successfully coached hundreds of staff at all levels of business.
Ian has worked across middle and senior management, and also at director level, bringing a flexible, pragmatic and highly inspiring approach to people, business and change.
In a professional career of over 35 years in the field of strategic development and maintenance, Dave has been heavily involved in some of industry’s key challenges and changes.
During 20 years in maintenance management at car giant Nissan Motor Manufacturing Ltd, he worked closely with many Japanese motor vehicle plants to introduce tools and techniques into the UK that reduce breakdown rate and continually drive improved OEE.
More recently, he has concentrated on developing a reliability improvement process to spread maintenance best practice in the manufacturing, chemical and food sectors.
Over 35 years of working in quality assurance, including 21 years in Quality Management with Nissan, at both Nissan Europe and Nissan Motor Manufacturing Ltd, guarantees Roland an expert voice in quality improvement activities such as warranty reduction, concern management and resolution, new model introduction, and supplier quality assurance.
His Nissan career, in which he worked closely with Japanese motor vehicle plants and European suppliers, has brought him a wealth of industry experience and insight.
In a career including 25 years at Nissan, Alan has been a manager in both production and engineering and has worked closely with teams at Renault and Nissan in Europe and Japan.
Alan has expertise in applying a lean manufacturing approach, which is customer driven and based on core principles of shop floor management, the elimination of waste and continuous improvement.
Recently, he has been involved in mentoring management teams in Rettig, Gestamp and Calsonic Kansei in specific areas of business improvement.
Paul started his career as a Professional Footballer in the famous Class of ‘92 with Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville. A Law graduate who has now enjoyed 17+ years experience in the Work Based Learning Sector having previously worked for ASSA (set up by Nissan in ‘97), University of Sunderland, NAC Group and formerly Gateshead College as Director of Business Development.
Paul advises on Government Skills Policy, Contracts & Partnerships and all aspects of Sora’s Leadership & Management.
Performance and Standards Manager
With over 16 years’ experience in training and education, Lindsey has held senior management positions within further education, local government and the private sector.
Having worked with the region’s number one college, Lindsey brings to Sora an extensive knowledge of Ofsted and SFA requirements and how to translate those into high quality teaching and learning opportunities.
Louise is a Science Graduate with a Masters from Newcastle University.
Louise started her career as a STEM Tutor for TDR to provide additional learning & assessment to Engineering Apprentices.
Headhunted by Sora in 2015, Louise is a Functional Skills Manager responsible for her team of Tutors, designing STEM content, and helping Sora Apprentices to progress from Level 1 to Level 3 in STEM subjects.
Pre Employment Manager
Jonny is a Teaching Graduate with a background of teaching Maths and outdoor training in North East schools.
Jonny joined Sora in 2018 and took on the Pre Employment Manger role developing new qualifications and implementing the delivery.
Data and Finance Manager
Adam graduated from Northumbria University and has worked in the education sector for 9 years having a working knowledge of education funding and data management.
Joining Sora in 2017 Adam is responsible for the data and finance covering all operations and is AAT and CIMA qualified.
